| Collection Instructions: |
Patient preparation: Overnight fasting is preferred. Patients should be relaxed in a supine position before blood is drawn.
Draw specimen in 2 pre-chilled tubes. Plasma should be separated within 30 minutes of collection. Carefully pipette plasma into a plastic transport tube and freeze immediately. |

| Additional Information: |
States of anxiety and stress can cause fluctuations in the catecholamine levels. Patient should avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco and strenuous exercise prior to collection. |
