Patient preparation: Overnight fasting is preferred.Patients should be relaxed in a supine position before blood is drawn.
Draw specimen in 2 pre-chilled tubes. Plasma should be separated within 30 minutes of collection. Carefully pipette plasma into a plastic transport tube and freeze immediately.
